Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to U.K. attends annual conference of the ruling British Conservative Party
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and Deputy Head of Mission, Hussein Mohammed Alam, attended the annual conference of the British Conservative Party, held in Manchester on October 1-4, 2017.
This year's conference which brings together the party's members and leaders is an essential step to develop the vision and future work plan of the party and how to implement them to meet development, educational, health, housing and other programs in the upcoming legislative session.
The British Conservative Party also hosted a reception ceremony for the heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the United Kingdom, during which Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, delivered a statement.
The Council of Arab Ambassadors also held a reception in honor of His Excellency Mr. Alistair Burt, U.K. Minister of state for the Middle East, during which the Ambassador and Mr. Burt exchanged views on the latest developments.
While attending the conference, the Ambassador held a number of meetings with British government ministers and officials, journalists, party members in the House of Commons and House of Lords, and several friends of the Kingdom of Bahrain from the Conservative Party.
During those meetings, bilateral relations between the two friendly kingdoms were discussed and ways of consolidating their historical partnership in the fields of trade, security, Defense and other areas of common interest were reviewed.
