Kingdom of Bahrain Embassy to the United Kingdom meets with Amnesty International
The Deputy Head of the Mission to the United Kingdom, Counselor Hussain Mohamed Alam, met with Middle East and North Africa Research and Advocacy Director at Amnesty International, Philip Luther.
The two sides stressed the need to consolidate joint cooperation and constructive communication between them in relation to the various subjects of mutual interest
They also agreed to establish and develop a communication mechanism between the Embassy and the Organization in general and the Organization's research department in London in particular, which will build confidence and prepare the ground for constructive communication in the future.
Meanwhile, in light of the keenness of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the United Kingdom to show the true and realistic picture in this regard, the Embassy issued a statement in response to the latest inaccuracies and in response to queries received from official and human rights organizations on one of the recent matters.
The statement pointed to the rights and assurances guaranteed by the Constitution of the Kingdom and the keenness of its independent legal, juridical and supervisory institutions to safeguard and protect these rights for every individual and citizen without exception. The statement stressed that the principle of the rule of law and legal accountability in the Kingdom stems from the core work of the judiciary.
