Bahrain’s Ambassador to Turkey participates in OIC Extraordinary Meeting on recent developments in Jerusalem

 

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Turkey, Dr. Ibrahim Yusuf Al-Abdullah, participated in the open extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The meeting, which discussed the latest developments in Jerusalem, was held recently in Istanbul, during which the Ambassador delivered a speech, stressing the need to adopt effective and advanced strategies towards Jerusalem.

He highlighted the importance of creating executive mechanisms with the participation of the international community to preserve the city’s Arab Islamic and Christian identity, its sanctities and cultural heritage.

He also underscored the need to reinforce joint Islamic action to seek a just solution according to the initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which was approved during the Arab Summit in Lebanon.

Dr. Al-Abdullah noted Israel’s continuation to violate Jerusalem’s sacred places, affirming that the tension of the region demands that Israel cancel all its illegal procedures and abide by legitimate international resolutions.

Concluding his statement, the Ambassador pointed out that the task of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation requires intense efforts and praised the unity of among the Palestinian people, urging OIC to support the Palestinian community and its social fabric.
