Bahrain Embassy in Brussels participates in GCC Institute of Studies opening ceremony at University of Leuven

The Kingdom of Bahrain Embassy in the Kingdom of Belgium took part in the opening ceremony of the Institute of Studies for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Antwerp, which aims at encouraging scientific and research exchange between the university and GCC countries.

Work is scheduled to begin in September after the signing of the relevant agreements between the university and a number of Gulf universities.

The Kingdom of Bahrain contributed to the project by providing a collection of books on culture and heritage related to the Kingdom.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Brussels, Dr Bahiya Al Jishi, said that the initiative would create the opportunity for further cooperation in the education field.

She expressed her hope for the exchange of visits between Belgian universities and their counterparts in Bahrain to bolster bilateral relations between Belgium and the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as continue the exchange of expertise and experiences in the education field among all others.
