Assistant Undersecretary for Arab and Afro-Asian Affairs and Organizations Meets Chinese Delegation
Assistant Undersecretary for Arab and Afro-Asian Affairs and Organizations, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa, met at the General Court of the Ministry today with a Chinese delegation.
The delegation is led by LI Chengwen, Ambassador for China-Arab States Cooperation Forum Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China who is currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting was held in the presence of the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Qi Zhenhong and those accompanying the Ambassador for China-Arab States Cooperation Forum Affairs including Deputy Director of West Asia and North Africa Affairs Department, Song Jian, Attaché Rao Dajun, and Translator Li Xiaofei.
Dr. Shaikha Rana welcomed the Chinese delegation hailing the historic Bahrain-China relations and the latter’s key efforts in reinforcing the China-Arab cooperation ties.
She emphasized the importance of visit exchange in underpinning bilateral ties and propelling them to broader political, economic, cultural and educational levels and other domains.
For his part, Ambassador Li Chengwen hailed the key role being played by the Kingdom of Bahrain as a significant cooperation partner in the Gulf region, hailing the progress of the close bilateral ties.
He also asserted the importance of reciprocal support and back up in boosting multilevel cooperation between the two friendly countries and consolidating cultural exchange between the two countries and peoples.
