Minister of Foreign Affairs meets with the UK’s Foreign Secretary
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met the United Kingdom Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Boris Johnson, on the side lines of his official visit to the United Kingdom.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs praised the Kingdom of Bahrain for its close ties with the United Kingdom, stressing the importance of continuing and enhancing cooperation and joint coordination, in light of the recent great challenges facing the region and the world.
The challenges consist primarily of terrorism and the increasing threat of terrorist organizations as well as the priority to deter those who support, finance and shelter them.
Boris Johnson affirmed the UK’s keenness to communicate and coordinate with the Kingdom of Bahrain in order to enhance the security and stability of the region, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
