The Assistant Foreign Minister receives a parliamentary delegation from the United Kingdom
The Assistant Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabur Al Doseri, received in his office at the Ministry's General Court today, a delegation from the United Kingdom headed by Rehman Chishti, who are currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Assistant Foreign Minister praised the historic and friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, affirming keenness to further strengthen these relations in order to achieve the aspirations of both countries.
The Assistant Foreign Minister referred to the achievements made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and his reformist approach, which has elevated the country to greater horizons and broader developments in all fields, especially in human rights, democracy and women empowerment.
The Assistant Foreign Minister noted that the Bahraini parliament is one of the results of His Majesty's reform approach to the country, stressing that His Majesty the King fully supports the march of development in the Kingdom.
For his part, the head of the delegation of the British Parliament praised the depth of the historic bilateral relations, noting their prosperity and development in all fields, and the progress witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the prosperous era of His Majesty the King.
He also stressed keenness to promote Bahraini-British cooperation at all levels, especially in the legislative field, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further success and prosperity.
The meeting also discussed regional and international developments.
