Embassy of Kingdom of Bahrain in London holds celebration marking National Days



The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the United Kingdom held a celebration marking Bahrain's National Days in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, the anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.



The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Muhammad Al Khalifa, noted the achievements of the Kingdom during the era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.



The Ambassador also extended his deep thanks to all those who offered their condolences on the demise of the late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.



The Minister of State for Middle East and North Africa at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom, James Cleverly, delivered a speech in which he highlighted the strong UK-Bahraini relations, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.



At the end of the ceremony, a number of British MPs, including the Deputy Speaker of the British House of Commons, Nigel Evans, Shadow Defence Minister Khalid Mahmood, Chairman of the Bahrain All-Party Parliamentary Group, Colonel Bob Stewart, the former Prime Minister's Special Envoy Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB), Rehman Chishti MP, and others commended the achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain in various fields, and wished the Bahraini Government and people further progress and prosperity.
