Issuance of travel permits
Description of Service:
This service is limited to Bahraini citizens only at the following conditions:
• Children of citizens born outside the Kingdom.
• In case of the passport's loss or theft outside the Kingdom.
Required Terms of Service:
• The father or his legal representative must be present to implement the service.
• Issuing a report about the theft or loss at the (state concerned) with ratification from the embassy of Bahrain.
Required Documents:
For foreign-born
• Filled and signed
service request form.
• Recent front view color
photograph size 4x6 with a white background.
• The original and a copy of birth certificate (Apostilled from the FCO).
• Original & copies of the father and mother ID.
• The original marriage certificate and a copy of it.
• A copy of the father/mother death certificates in case any of the parents are deceased.
For loss or theft abroad
• Filled and signed
service request form.
• Recent front view color
photograph size 4x6 with a white background.
• Original copy of the report issued from the nearest police station at the city of residence.
Procedures:
1. Go to the nearest embassy or consulate to submit the request for issuing of a travel permit, making sure to provide the aforementioned required documents.

You can apply for a travel permit (also known as Laissez-Passer) if your passport was lost or stolen abroad by sending an email with the below required documents to (+44) 0207 201 9170, and if it is an emergency then please call the Follow-up Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on (+973)17227555.
Important Notice:
• Please note that this document can only be used once to go back to Bahrain only. This is a temporary document that is valid only for one month from the date of issuance.
• In addition, note that border staff will keep your travel permit when you arrive to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
