Bahraini Ambassador to U.K. celebrates the International Workers’ Day with Bahraini workers in Britain
On the occasion of the International Workers' Day, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received at his residence in London a number of Bahraini nationals working in Britain to celebrate with them the International Workers’ Day.
Also present were a number of Bahraini citizens visiting the United Kingdom, led by the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), Rasheed Al Maraj.
In his speech on this occasion, the Ambassador expressed pride over the achievements of Bahrainis workers abroad, especially in the United Kingdom where they are reputed for their high level of dedication and loyalty to their jobs.
He attributed the existence of a large number of Bahraini workers in Britain to the depth of the two hundred- year old historical relations between the two friendly countries and to the ability and competitiveness of Bahrainis in international markets.
“Bahraini citizen are the nation’s real wealth,” he affirmed quoting His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa as saying and by stressing the importance of human development as a pillar of sustainable development and a cornerstone of all the plans and programs realized by the government.
“This was attained through focus on education, training, youth support and empowerment of women,” the ambassador remarked.
At the end of the ceremony, Shaikha Fawaz honoured a number of Bahrainis working in the U.K. for their excellence at work and to encourage them to continue being Bahrain’s real representatives
