Bahrain Ambassador to London meets British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa
Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to London, HE Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, today met the Minister of State for Middle East and North Africa at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), James Cleverly, to discuss topics of common interest.
Mr. James Cleverly praised the supportive role played by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the evacuation operations from Afghanistan and affirmed the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the security and defense areas.
He stressed UK's keenness to continue consolidating the strong partnerships between UK and the friendly countries and allies, on both bilateral and multilateral levels.
The Ambassador took pride in the strong historical relations between the two friendly countries, looking forward to achieving more fruitful bilateral cooperation and coordination with the United Kingdom.
The two sides also discussed preparations for the meeting of the British-Bahraini joint working group in, scheduled to be held in London in November 2021, and reviewed the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the evacuation operations from Afghanistan.
The two sides also reviewed the trade relations between the United Kingdom and the GCC countries, expressing their aspiration to work together to achieve broader levels in this regard and enhance intra-regional trade in prospect of achieving further prosperity for the peoples of the region.
