Bahrain Embassy in UK in cooperation with Economic Development Board host reception showcasing investment opportunities

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the United Kingdom, in cooperation with the Bahrain Economic Development Board hosted a reception to review investment opportunities in the Kingdom of Bahrain and what it provides in the growing financial services sector, in order to enhance Bahrain's position as a regional hub for innovative financial technology.

The Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani, delivered a speech in which he highlighted the deep rooted friendship between the two Kingdoms, affirming Bahrain’s readiness to create new economic partnerships, specially after Brexit. The Minister also showcased investment opportunities in the Kingdom and encouraged investors to take advantage of the current and future opportunities Bahrain has to offer in terms of its strategic location, talented human capital, exceptional lifestyle, and forward thinking government.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board, Khalid Al-Rumaihi, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Simon Martin, British officials, members of the House of Lords and Commons, senior businessmen, and business executives. The guests hailed Bahraini competencies as well as the economic reforms implemented in the kingdom.

The Reception took place on the sidelines of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) participation in the Innovate Finance Global Summit in London, UK, on 19-20 March.
