Ambassador of Kingdom of Bahrain in Moscow holds a reception marking the occasion of Bahrain's National Day
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation, Ambassador Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, held a reception at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in the capital, Moscow on the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national celebrations on 16 and 17 December, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, the 48th anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the 20th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sergei Vershinin, members of the Russian Parliament, senior officials of the Federal Government, representatives of the republics of the Russian Federation in Moscow, a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors and diplomats accredited in Moscow, the First Deputy of the Shura Council for Muftis, for the Muslims of the Russian Federation and business men, including a large number of political, cultural and media officals who congratulated the leadership, government and people the Kingdom of Bahrain of on this dear national occasion.
In his speech, Ambassador Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati reviewed the development of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation, noting that next year will be the celebration of the two countries 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, where the are both looking forward to more cooperation between them in order to achieve mutual interests.
For his part, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sergei Vershinin, congratulated the Kingdom of Bahrain on its National Day, praising the wise policy of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in various international issues that contribute to the promotion of peace, security and cooperation between countries and people of the world.
Adding that Moscow highly values the close relationship between the leaderships of the two countries, with its deep historical roots dating back many years.
The reception program included the participation of Al Balushi Theatre Orchestra by playing classical music for Bahraini songs from the Bahraini Maestro Mubarak Najm, and a fashion show of traditional Bahraini women's clothing, designed by Dar Kubra Al-Qasir Fashion, in addition to participation of Bahraini artist Khalifa Al-Jumairi in the performance of a group of Bahraini songs, as these programs won the admiration of the audience.
