Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Republic of Russia receives the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Moscow
The Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Republic of Russia, Galina Karelova, praised the Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women Empowerment, which was inaugurated in September 2017 at the 61st session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, USA.
Mrs. Karelova described the award as one of the best international projects for empowering women and motivating public and private institutions, bodies and organizations to promote equality of opportunity between women and men at all levels, which is reflected in the achievement and sustainability of development in the countries of the world.
This occurred as the Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Republic of Russia received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Moscow, Dr. Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Saati.
Mrs. Karelova expressed the desire of the Russian Federation to benefit from the experience of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of women's empowerment, as well as participate in the qualification for the award through institutions and bodies in the Russian Federation.
The Ambassador gave a full explanation of the Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women Empowerment and the results it has achieved at the national level since its inception ten years ago, and its goals after becoming a global award.
