Ambassador of Kingdom of Bahrain to United States of America meets Commissioner of Fire Department in New York City
Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States of America, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashed Al Khalifa, meet with the New York City Fire Department Commissioner, Daniel A. Nigro, and Chief of Department, Mr. John Sudnik.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador praised the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries and their mutual work in developing ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in all fields, valuing the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, and his keenness to unfold more cooperation and enhance common interests.
He expressed his aspiration to continue the efforts made in the field of exchanging successful experiences, praising the outstanding reputation of firefighting services in New York City, as the largest fire department in the United States and the second in the world, pointing to what the fire services in New York achieved during the year 2019 regarding the decrease in fire deaths by 25% which reflects the professional ability and application of the highest safety standards in performance.
The Ambassador indicated that the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the direction of the Minister of Interior, Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, It continues to adopt a strategy of development and modernization in all areas of work, including civil protection in its comprehensive sense, which requires the exchange of experiences in the field of fire and rescue accidents and the optimal use of various fire and rescue mechanisms, equipment and devices.
For his part, Commissioner of the New York City Fire Department, Mr. Daniel A. Nigro, expressed his keenness to develop cooperation with the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Bahrain in exchanging experiences, adopting best practices and providing high-level training programs.
