Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States attends inauguration of the new US Commander

At the invitation of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to attend the change of Command ceremony, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, participated in the inauguration ceremony for General Kenneth F. McKenzie who took over the leadership of the United States Central Command from former retiring Commander General Joseph Votel, held in Tampa, Florida on March 28, 2019.

At the ceremony which was attended by the Military Attaché at the embassy, Brigadier General Jassim Abdullah Al-Jowder, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King to General Votel and thanked him for the support and services provided by the Central Command to the Kingdom of Bahrain, wishing General Mackenzie the best of luck.

It is worth noting that General Votel was appointed Commander of the US Central Command in March 2016 and thus assigned the operations in the Middle East, Southwest and Central Asia, and worked on combating terrorism and promoting stability throughout the Middle East.
