Kingdom of Bahrain Embassy in United States of America organizes sports activity for personnel to mark Bahrain Sports Day
The Kingdom of Bahrain Embassy in the United States of America, in coordination with the cultural attaché, organized today in Washington DC, sports activities for its personnel to mark Bahrain Sports Day, pursuant to His Royal Highness the Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the initiative of His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Affairs (SCYS) Chairman, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to allot an annual day to engage in sports activities, which reflects the Kingdom’s care for its citizens’ health.
The Embassy was keen to celebrate Bahrain Sports Day for the fourth year in a row, since this event constitutes a message to the friendly American community that the Bahraini community is open to sport and practices it as an integral part of its daily routine, as the embassy diplomats and employees shared their celebration with a number of students from the American University in Washington, by playing a volleyball match against the American University team.
Both the embassy staff and the members of the American University expressed their deep thanks and appreciation for this initiative and its activities that reflect the government’s interest in sports and health, as well as promoting brotherhood and opening up areas for future cooperation.
The embassy’s celebration of the National Sports Day also created an opportunity to encourage its personnel to engage in sports and physical activities by investing love and loyalty to the country to instill a sports culture that is aware of the importance of physical activity in promoting physical and psychological health.
