American Bahraini Friendship Society holds first virtual meeting
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States of America, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, took part in the first virtual meeting of the American Bahraini Friendship Society, along with its members of American citizens who has lived and worked for years in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and share strong relations with its leadership and people. The participants exchanged points of view and reviewed the latest developments in the Kingdom during the meeting, in addition to discussing the challenges facing the region and lessons learned from combating the outbreak of COVID-19.
The Ambassador discussed a number of topics, including praising the wisdom of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the great efforts of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Team Bahrain in handling the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. He also hailed the decision of the Kingdom of Bahrain to sign the Declaration of Peace, lauding the role of the United States and its desire to establish peace in the region.
For his part, the President of the American Bahraini Friendship Society, VADM John W. Miller, expressed his thanks and pride in the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain for the members of the society, hailing the historical friendship between the two countries.
The Commander of the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, U.S. 5th Fleet, Vice Admiral Samuel Paparo, also took part in the meeting, as he reviewed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, hailing the role of the society in promoting the relations between the two friendly countries in various areas.
The Trade Representative for the Kingdom of Bahrain, Rose Sager, expressed her pride in the openness of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its peaceful coexistent, as it has people of various religions and cultures living in peace as one family on its land.
In conclusion, the Representative of the Economic Development Board reviewed the most prominent investment opportunities that the Kingdom of Bahrain has attracted in various fields, noting that the Kingdom of Bahrain is one of the countries least affected by the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in the economic field, due to the diversity of the economic investments and its national economy base.
