Ambassador of Kingdom of Bahrain in Washington hails first US-Bahrain Strategic Dialogue
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States of America, Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa praised the continued progress of strategic, strong partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States, which came as a result of the wise foreign policy of the Kingdom, the foundation of which was laid by the reformist approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Ambassador also hailed the first Strategic Dialogue between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States, which was held virtually on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. The Dialogue saw the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and the Secretary of State of the US, Mike Pompeo, as well as other senior officials from the two friendly countries. The Ambassador added that dialogue represents the culmination of the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its Embassy in Washington to strengthen relations between the two countries.
In this regard, the Ambassador stressed the importance of the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, namely in the fields of defense and security, underlining the essential role it plays in maintaining security and stability at the regional and international levels. He further noted that the US-Bahrain Strategic Dialogue includes topics such as strategic cooperation to support peace and security, encouraging investment and bilateral trade between the two countries, and enhancing educational, cultural, scientific, and environmental relations and other axes.
The Strategic Dialogue sessions will be held over several days to achieve optimum effectiveness in implementing the dialogue outcomes.
