Bahrain Ambassador to US participates in Abraham Accords Institute of Peace meeting in Washington, DC

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the friendly United States of America, His Excellency Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa,  participated in a meeting organized by the Abraham Accords Institute for Peace in Washington, DC. The meeting was hosted by the President of the Abrahamic Accords Institute for Peace, His Excellency Jared Kushner, and the participation of the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Yousif Al-Otaiba, and the Ambassador of the State of Israel, His Excellency Gilad Erdan. It discussed the first anniversary of the signing of the Abraham Accords and the most important achievements during this year.  

For his part, Shaikh Abdullah expressed his pride in the courageous step taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain in signing the declaration supporting peace with Israel, within the framework of the Abraham Accords, which reflects the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, that is based on the values of tolerance and coexistence. He recalled his recent visit to the Jewish Synagogue in Manama, during which he sensed the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among all segments of society in the Kingdom.

He also touched on the things that were achieved during the first year of signing the declaration supporting peace, which included the signing of 15 memoranda of understanding and 4 agreements in many different fields, including the fields of politics, economic, commercial, cultural and tourism.  

To conclude, he expressed his aspiration to continue supporting efforts aimed at bringing peace to the region, thus contributing to meeting the aspirations of its peoples for security, stability and prosperity.
