MOFA Undersecretary Meets Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Delegation
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, today met with a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, The delegation was led by Kuwait-based Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ali Abbas, accompanied by Ambassador Michael O. Oyugi, Director, Diaspora and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, and their accompanying delegation, visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain from January 9-12, 2019.
During the meeting, Dr. Shaikha Rana reviewed bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Kenya and ways of propelling them to broader levels.
She emphasized the common desire to promote friendly relations and develop bilateral cooperation in various fields of common interest, especially in the political, economic, and cultural and tourism fields as well as in Labor, information technology, engineering and other domains.
Meantime, she lauded the active role of the Kenyan community and its contribution to the development process in the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressing its sincere appreciation of the efforts of the Kuwait-based Embassy of the Republic of Kenya to the Kingdom of Bahrain for furthering bilateral ties all levels.
The members of the Kenyan delegation expressed happiness for having met with the Undersecretary, praising the strong relations linking the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Kenya and the interest accorded by the Government of Bahrain to the Kenyan community.
Ambassador O. Oyugi, in his turn, expressed his country's desire to continue the fruitful cooperation between the two countries in all fields to serve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain progress and prosperity.
