Ambassador of Bahrain to Yemen, residing in Riyadh, participates in opening of extraordinary session of House of Representatives

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Yemen, residing in Riyadh, Shaikh Hmood bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, participated in the opening of the Extraordinary Session of the Parliament of the Republic of Yemen, which was held today in the city of Seiyun in Hadhramaut. The session was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Yemen, Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi and in the presence of Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament, Dr. Mishaal Al-Salami.

On this occasion, Shaikh Hmood bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated the Yemeni government and people for holding the first session of the House of Representatives, and Mr. Sultan Al-Brakani on his election as head of the Yemeni Parliament, wishing him success in carrying out this national responsibility. He also stressed the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which supports the stability of Yemen and its territorial integrity and supporting the efforts aimed at reaching a peaceful solution based on the Gulf Initiative and its executive mechanism, the outputs of the national dialogue and Security Council resolution 2216 (2015).

The President of the Republic of Yemen delivered a speech in which he affirmed that the convening of the House of Representatives is proof of the unification of all Yemenis with all their parties, and their sects on the basis of legitimacy and national values.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Yemen, Mr. Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber, and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Yemen, Mr. Salim Bin Khalifa Al Ghafli.
