Minister of Foreign Affairs meets with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kingdom of Thailand



The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met today with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, on the sidelines of the 15th Manama Dialogue Conference. 

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister welcomed Mr. Isarabhakdi, reviewing the close relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Thailand. He also hailed the development of these relations at all levels and the continued coordination between the two countries on issues of common concern.

The Minister expressed his pride in his participation in the opening of the 35th Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and related summits hosted recently by the Kingdom of Thailand, stressing that the Kingdom of Bahrain's accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in South-East Asia will push their relations to broad prospects of fruitful cooperation in various fields.

For his part, Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi expressed his delight in meeting the Minister of Foreign Affairs, praising the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries and stressing the aspiration of the Kingdom of Thailand to develop bilateral cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain at all levels.
