Assistant Foreign Minister hails role of Bahraini women in development process

On the occasion of the Bahraini Women’s Day, the Assistant Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabur Al-Doseri, extended congratulations to Her Royal Highness Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa.

The Assistant Foreign Minister lauded the contributions of Bahraini women in political, economic, social and cultural fields, in the era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He affirmed the commitment of the Kingdom to ensure gender equality in line with Article 1 and 5 of the constitution on the right of citizens, men and women, to participate in public affairs and enjoy political rights.

He affirmed the keenness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the directives of the Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, to support women through the Equal Opportunities Unit in the Ministry, since its establishment in August 2011.

The Assistant Foreign Minister congratulated Bahraini women in all sectors and fields, stressing the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to strengthen their role and participation in the process of democratic achievements and comprehensive development, in order to achieve the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
