Minister of Foreign Affairs receives phone call from Minister of Foreign Affairs of Arab Republic of Egypt
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, received a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Sameh Shoukry.
The Minister praised the strong relations between both countries and their development in various fields in light of the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed the full support of the Kingdom of Bahrain to all the efforts made by the Arab Republic of Egypt to face various challenges and threats to its national security and stability, stressing that the security of Egypt is an integral part of the security of Bahrain.
Dr. Al Zayani praised the active role of Egypt in defending Arab interests and issues and safeguarding Arab national security, noting the Cairo Declaration initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to solve the Libyan crisis, which called upon all parties to the conflict in Libya for an immediate ceasefire and ensure the unity and integrity of the Libyan lands, in addition to the establishment of peace in Libya.
For his part, Mr. Sameh Shoukry expressed the Arab Republic of Egypt's pride in the historical relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirming Egypt's keenness to continue cooperation and joint coordination with the Kingdom in various fields. He also expressed appreciation for the Kingdom’s support, wishing it continuous progress and prosperity.
