Chaired by MoFA Undersecretary.. MoFA holds coordination meeting on Manama Dialogue

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held today a coordination meeting regarding the 16th edition of Manama Dialogue. The meeting was chaired by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, and attended by a number of representatives of Government bodies and the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS).
During the meeting, the Undersecretary welcomed the participants, noting the importance of holding the Manama Dialogue, which represents an important platform to senior officials, experts and researchers to exchange visions and ideas regarding various issues.

The Undersecretary appreciated the cooperation of various government agencies in the Kingdom of Bahrain with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and IISS in working to maintain the security and safety of the participants and delegations by providing mechanisms, procedures and precautionary measures in line with the international standards to confront Coronavirus (Covid-19), wishing them good luck and success.
During the meeting, all preventive arrangements, measures and procedures were reviewed, and views were exchanged to achieve the success of the Manama Dialogue Conference and to ensure the security and safety of all participants and delegations.
It is worth mentioning that the Manama Dialogue will be held on December 4th-6th, 2020. The conference will discuss a number of issues, on top of which are Global Governance in the Wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic, US Policy in the Era of Global Competition, Middle East Security in a Global Context, Conflict Resolution in the Middle East, Security Cooperation after the Covid-19 Pandemic, in addition to other issues. Also, plenary sessions will be attended physically and virtually.
