Israeli President receives credentials of Ambassador of Kingdom of Bahrain to State of Israel
The President of the State of Israel, H.E. Isaac Herzog received today the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the State of Israel, H.E. Khaled Yousif Al Jalahma, who presented his credentials as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the State of Israel.
President Isaac Herzog welcomed Ambassador Al Jalahma and congratulated him on assuming his duties as the first ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the State of Israel. He affirmed the support of the Israeli government to carry out his duties to the fullest, highlighting His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s courageous step of making peace with the State of Israel under the framework of the Abraham Accords.
The President of the State of Israel tasked the Ambassador to convey his greetings and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and extended his wishes for the Kingdom of Bahrain for continued progress, progress and prosperity.
The President also praised the course of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel, which was established in implementation of the declaration of support for peace between the two countries, adding that Bahrain is a model of peaceful coexistence. He showcased that the progression of bilateral cooperation indicates the interest and keenness of the two countries to advance these relations in a way that achieves the common interests of the two countries, wishing the Ambassador success in his diplomatic duties in the State of Israel.
For his part, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and their wishes of abundant health and success for the State of Israel and its people for security, stability and prosperity.
He expressed his pride in the great honor he received from His Majesty the King, to be the first ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the State of Israel, following the establishment of full diplomatic relations between the two countries, upon the signing of the Declaration of Support for Peace and the Abraham Accords in Washington on September 15, 2020.
He further added that the signing is a courageous historic step that will positively impact the bilateral relations between the two countries as well as the whole region where people aspire to achieve peace, stability and prosperity.
The Ambassador emphasized that peace is the strategic choice of the Kingdom of Bahrain, a wise approach adopted by His Majesty the King, and builds on His Majesty’s reform project, adding that the Kingdom of Bahrain is guided in its diplomatic relations by well-established national principles based on firm foundations and authentic values of moderation and acceptance of the other.
He affirmed that the wise leadership in the Kingdom of Bahrain, represented by His Majesty the King, believes that dialogue, understanding and building trust are lofty principles and main foundations for achieving cooperation between nations and people, that leads towards achieving stability, peace and prosperity for all people in the region.
He also affirmed his confidence of this historic step, in which it will lay a solid foundation for the aspired relations between the two countries, based on the values of tolerance and coexistence between people of beliefs and religions, adding that it paves the way towards permanent cooperation in various fields, in a way that promotes common interests and achieves the two country’s aspirations for stability, prosperity and development for the region and its people.
The Ambassador expressed his pleasure to work on developing relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel in various fields for the benefit of the two countries and their people, which contributes to strengthening security, stability and development in the region.
