MOFA Undersecretary for International Affairs participates in Poland Independence Day Celebrations
Currently on a working visit to the Republic of Poland, the Undersecretary for International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, has attended an official reception marking the 99th Anniversary of Poland’s Independence Day and beginning of the Second Polish Republic.
The reception, hosted by the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, at the Presidential Palace and Piazodski Square on November 11, was also attended by a large gathering of officials, ambassadors and international elites.
Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa conveyed to the Polish President the greetings and congratulations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister, and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and their wishes for further progress and prosperity to the Government and people of Poland.
Dr. Shaikh Abdullah praised the strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Poland and their mutual desire to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation in line with the directives of the wise leaders of the two countries.
He expressed his happiness to have participated in the celebrations of the Polish Independence Day describing the warm welcome and hospitality as reflective of the authenticity of Poland and its deep-rooted traditions.
The Undersecretary for International Affairs stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the blessed reign of His Majesty the King, has established a global model to promote international peace and noble values for all mankind.
He was referring to the recently launched Declaration of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the King Hamad Global Centre for Interfaith Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence as well as other pioneering and unique initiatives of His Majesty to serve the human community.
"While we are very proud of our close ties with Poland, especially on the political and diplomatic levels, we look forward to further consolidating these relations, especially in economic, investment, tourism and cultural areas,” he added.
He noted that Bahrain , with its comprehensive and qualitative reforms, distinct development experience and strong Gulf, Arab and Asian depth as well as its ambitious success stories and model of coexistence and the Republic of Poland, with its European and global position can both be a driving force to more progress, peace and prosperity.
He expressed full conviction in the availability of a wide range of opportunities for both countries to expand economic cooperation and bilateral trade once they investment in their common advantages, looking forward, with a great deal of optimism, for more promising bilateral relations in the future.
The Polish President entrusted Dr. Shaikh Abdulla with conveying his greetings to His Majesty the King and the political leadership, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity.
Earlier, at his current visit to Poland, the Undersecretary for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, had met with senior officials of the Polish Foreign Ministry and Parliament.
